Here are some of our favorite places to go in our guide to Manuel Antonio Nightlife. If you’re looking for a place to kick back and relax after sunset or dress up and go dancing for a night out on the town keep reading below!

Billfish Sports Bar and Lounge– is known as “Byblos” to the locals. It is one of the best places to go for a night out on the town. With big screen televisions for you to watch your favorite sports games, pool tables, foosball, a dance hall, a life-size jenga there is plenty to keep you entertained until the early hours of morning! In addition it  has a great open-air feel making it one of Manuel Antonio’s hot spots.

El Patio de Cafe Milagro- Cafe Milagro is in the heart of Manuel Antonio. This cafe & bistro serves delicious breakfasts, coffee, lunches and dinner. They also host nightly music Monday through Saturday from 7-9pm. A great spot to listen to some local talent as you dine on scrumptious dinners! Learn more about them here.

Emilio’s Cafe- Emilios Cafe is a great place to enjoy tea, coffee, croissants, dessert, salads, and dinner. This cafe boasts and incredible view of the Pacific, recipes with fresh ingredients and world class entertainment including Jazz music, Belly Dancing, & Flamenco Dancing.

Zion Bar– Located below BCR on Manuel Antonio main road, Zion Bar is a relatively new nightlife hotspot. Great for dancing, they play lots of reggae, hip hop, and electronic music catering to a young crowd, great fun for the night owls!

Dos Locos-this Mexican restaurant is located in the heart of Quepos and is very popular among expat locals. They serve breakfast all day, have good deals on Imperial beers, and often host live bands. Live music is usually Wednesdays at 7pm or Saturdays at 12 noon. Thursdays are trivia nights!

Salsipuedes- Salsipuedes is a tapas bar located at the top of the hill in Manuel Antonio across from the BCR bank. The tapas or small plates are priced around 3-4 dollars per plate and are absolutely delicious. Salsipuedes is also known for its incredible view of the sunset. It used to be the childhood home of the owner Mike  who knocked down the front wall of the house to turn it in to open-air dining area. It is a beautiful and welcoming place! They host live music Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Hawg N Bill- Hawg N Bill is another local favorite hang out. It is on the corner of the main road and the road that leads to our famous National Park. With big open space and clear view of the sandy beach just across the street it is a great place to grab lunch or dinner after a day at the beach. Hawg N Bill often hosts live music as well.

Barba Roja- Another favorite nightlife spot. Barba Roja has 2 for 1 burger specials on Tuesday evenings and the best sushi bar around. With local beers and brews on tap, you will find Barba packed on Tuesday nights by locals, expats and tourists alike.

Lush Tapas & Lounge- Lush is one of the newer additions to the Manuel Antonio community! It is a wine & martini bar and lounge located in the second floor of the building in Plaza Vista II. It also has an open-air, classic & artistic ambience. There are lots of drinks and bottles to choose from as well as tapas on their menu. Nautilus shells are inlaid in the bar countertop creating a unique design.

La Colina- La Colina is a hotel halfway up Manuel Antonio’s hilly main road. They host live music on Wednesday nights featuring & showcasing local talent. The Steak House is the restaurant where they serve up delicious steak and seafood cooked on a wood-fired grill. You can dine on of the delicious plates, listen to live music, and take a dip in the pool afterward in their large open outdoor space.

Karma Lounge- Karma is a gay friendly dance club, lounge, and bar located below Victoria’s Italian Restaurant. It is the perfect after-dinner place to go for some dancing. They play great upbeat music and cater to a later crowd especially on the weekends.

Republik Club- Republik is in the heart of Quepos, neighboring Manuel Antonio. They play electronic, dance and reggaeton. It is a more prestigious and popular bar with VIP section and bottle service. Thursday night is ladies night.
