I stayed in Vista del Mar and had an amazing vacation. The views are stunning and the room is very comfortable.The beach is even more beautiful than it appears in the photos and so are the pools. By far the best part of Tulemar is the staff. I took the public bus from San Jose to Manuel Antonio instead of a private shuttle because I love the interaction with the locals. Therefore, I arrived at the resort separately from the rest of my party. I arrived and was immediately greeted by Dave and Brian who were anticipating my arrival and welcomed me by name. We were lucky enough to have Brian as our host during the length of our stay and he is truly amazing. He is kind and friendly and anticipated our every need. I hope someday he will visit Phoenix and I can try to repay some of his generosity. In short, stay here...you will LOVE it!

My husband and I stayed as part of a wedding party. It was a wonderful location. Our modern bungalow was very clean and spacious with spectacular views. The concierge was very attentive and responded to our every need! Both the beach and the pool were short walks that were surrounded by wildlife! We loved seeing the monkeys, toucans, and sloths, especially the baby sloth! Everyone we encountered was extremely nice and helpful and made our experience in Costa Rica a truly wonderful vacation. We would love to come back and enjoy many of the other recreation options in the area!

We enjoyed our stay at the condo! We had great communication with the owners and concierge. It was the perfect size for our family of 4 with a great view, comfy beds and kitchen. It is also walkable to shops, restaurants and 2 local beaches.

We did quite some research before booking, and it was well worth the time.

We stayed in the King suite w/ our teenage son and had it all. The condo is clean, comfy, spacious, and equipped with everything you need. The pictures and description match what you get. And use the hammock!

The location is perfect and is close to a couple of restaurants and the bus. Taking the bus is easy and fun, and you're in Quepos or Manuel Antonio in a heartbeat. Walking to the Beach is not hard either .. ~20- 25 mins, just be ready for the climb on the way back home.

With Geralyn we also had a very helpful concierge that helped planning a number of activities prior to arrival. Highly recommend going rafting, preferred that over zip-lining.

So in a nutshell: all you can ask for - and more. Highly recommend the condo. Hope this was not our last stay there in Renee's and Steve's condo. A gem.

My husband, 7 year old son and I stayed in the King suite for 12 nights starting Feb 11/17. It was our first trip to Costa Rica, let alone Manuel Antonio. The condo is very well situated and we quickly (and easily) learned how to take the (cheap!) public transportation either north to Quepos or south to the Beach. The condo had more than enough room for the three of us; we actually moved the single mattress onto the floor of the bedroom so our son was near us and it worked perfectly. Used the stove every day for cooking meals and loved having a full sized fridge for our fresh fruit and farmer's market finds! I definitely recommend booking with Renee if you're staying in the Manuel Antonio area!

We stayed in both rooms on our trip and enjoyed both of them. The King Suite was absolutely perfect for a family of 3. Nothing but great things to say about Geralyn the concierge. She had us organized and even arranged our trip from Tabacon to Manuel Antonio (6 hr trip) with William from Pacifico in a Mercedes Sprinter Van, as well as both trips to and from the airport. I highly recommend if you are doing this trip, get with Geralyn. She arranged for us to break the trip up with a break at the Tarcoles river to see the crocodiles up close and personal. We absolutely fell in love with Manuel Antonio and the wonderful people we met there. Thank you all for being such gracious hosts. I would highly recommend Villa Vista Del Mar. You really are in the middle of everything. The Byblos Hotel had some great food and wildlife right across the street. And the view at Ronny's place is heaven on earth. Thanks for making our much needed holiday a success!

We stayed in the Queen unit, and we really enjoyed the whole experience. Our favorite part was sitting out on the deck in the morning with our coffee looking for birds. We saw two Toucans (Would that be Twocans?) one morning. The location was perfect in the center of Manuel Antonio and walking distance to many different restaurants. We had a rental car but barely needed to use it. The only negative is there was construction on a nearby building at the time, but I'm guessing that is complete by now. The best part was the concierge -- Sabrina. Before we even arrived, she sent us helpful information about tours and activities. Then she greeted us when we arrived and spent quite a bit of time giving us tips and information about things to do. She truly seems like she loves what she does and she loves Manuel Antonio. We would have enjoyed this charming town and beautiful beaches anyway, but Sabrina helped to make it over the top. We already have another trip planned to come back.

We spent a week in Costa Rica (our first time there) and stayed at 3 very different type places/locations. We absolutely loved our stay in the Queen Suite and being in Manuel Antonio. The entire area around Villa Vista Mar had such a cozy garden feel with beautiful views. Sitting on our open air (yet very private) veranda was so enjoyable. There was a television on the veranda (which we appreciated) to have coffee and watch Good Morning America to keep up with the goings on at home. The bed was super comfortable, which we found out is something we will always ask about before renting anywhere again. We had experienced one of our stays had very uncomfortable bedding which made for a miserable nights sleep. Not the case here. It was fantastic! The King Suite has been updated and the owners will be updating the Queen Suite. If there was anything negative I could say, it would be the community pool area needs updating (furniture, etc.). Other than that, we loved our room and we loved Manuel Antonio.

My girlfriends and I stayed in the top floor condo for a week in January and we had the most amazing time. It fit 4 of us very comfortably but you could have very easily housed more. The floor plan is open and spacious and the unit was extremely clean. I truly cannot put into words how incredible the view was. The far wall is floor to ceiling windows/sliding doors that when open allow in so much fresh air and the ocean breeze is lovely. I could have stayed in that hammock forever! It felt like looking at a painting, truly memorizing and breathtaking.



The kitchen has mostly everything that you would need to prepare simple meals. We opted to go grocery shopping and do most breakfasts at home and snacking, which helped make the trip affordable. Lunches and dinners we ate out for the most part. I highly recommend El Sol(on beach), Cafe Milagros or Emilio's Cafe for breakfast, Agua Azul, and Ronny's Place for dinner There was another place that is known for their ribs on Friday night, don't miss that either... BEST RIBS I ever had in my life and I lived in the south for a while! The name escapes me, but Sabrina... your concierge can assist you.



Which brings me to my next point, Sabrina (and all the people in general) were so accommodating. Their warm and genuine demeanor makes you feel like family. Everyone is so happy and friendly, taxi's and tour operators have no problem stopping as much as you'd like or waiting for you, or even coming back to pick you up hours later at remote locations. Sabrina made the trip so easy and seamless with her expertise on everything from tours, to dining, to transportation, to safety and beyond. She even went as far as to bring one of the girls medicine when she heard she wasn't feeling well. She was available at all times for us no matter what we needed.



The location was excellent, close proximity to anything and everything, yet quite and private at the same time. The bus was only 70 cents US each way and was reliable, easy, and convenient even for non Spanish speakers. In comparison to other properties offering similar accommodations I would say you cannot beat Steve and Renee's prices, you will not be disappointed!!!!

Everything is perfect! The view is incredible and location is spot on! The Kitchen has everything you need possible if you would like to prepare your own meals.



Its an inexpensive bus ride to the beach, downtown and all restaurants. I stayed here comfortably with 3 other girls and it was the perfect size for all of us.



Sabrina helped us with anything and everything. She set us up with some amazing tours, restaurants, and even called cabs for us.



I definitely recomend staying here! The unit and property is lovely. Everyone is friendly and eager to help. My friends and I definitely recomend this property
