Casa Moreno

Our family of five had the most incredible 10-day stay at breathtaking Casa Moreno perfectly situated between Quepos and Manuela Antonio. Perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean and mountains, the views were simply spectacular. The house itself had everything we could have asked for.

A special thank you to our concierge Mefi, who truly made this vacation unforgettable. He booked all of our excursions in advance, was a great communicator and every single one was a five-star experience. He gave us superb restaurant recommendations as well. Whenever we had a question he responded within seconds. Housekeeper was great as well with folded clothes and an organized house when returning.

One of the in house highlights was having executive chefs prepare dinner for us on three evenings that Mefi coordinated. From traditional Casado to preparing our catch from fishing.

For those who are driving in don’t be intimidated by the road up. It’s part of the adventure of Costa Rice

Very nice place. Ara parrots in the nearby trees. We used the services of cooks (contacted via the villa's concierge), and it was great. Very clean villa! Everything was perfect.

The house was wonderful. Great view and lots of space. The hill can be a challenge to drive up, but it’s a small price to pay for a wonderful house with tons of wildlife around.

An unforgettable stay in Quepos, Costa Rica

Our stay in Quepos was absolutely amazing. The Airbnb itself was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located—close to everything we needed while still feeling private and peaceful. The surroundings were stunning, and it truly felt like a tropical getaway.

A huge part of what made our trip exceptional was our concierge, Mefi. From A to Z, he arranged everything for us—daily breakfast with a private chef, activities, transportation, and all the little details in between. His recommendations were spot-on, and he made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. It felt like having our own personal guide to Costa Rica.

If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, great location, and top-tier service, this is it. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again!

We had a great stay at this location. The view from the house was beautiful and I loved seeing the macaws each morning while drinking my coffee on the deck.

Our family of 6 stayed at this house very comfortably. Mefi was great! He met us there on the first day to show us the house and the last day to see us off! He was available by messaging the entire trip. He also gave fantastic restaurant recommendations and arranged all transportation and various excursions. An added bonus was the cleaning ladies and “laundry fairies “ that cleaned and did our laundry during our stay. The location is up a pretty steep and winding hill, so I recommend taxis, but the view from the porch was worth it. My 4 teenage kids awoke most days at 5 am to bird watch the entire time we were here! The macaws put on a fantastic show! The pool was also very inviting and refreshing after a day out exploring. Highly recommend. One of our favorite vacations as a family:)

The house was wonderful. Phillip was a great host and the concierge team very helpful for coordinating everything. We booked Peak Chef Services for our first night dinner which was incredible. We were greeted each morning with 2 large macaws and a variety of other parrots and toucans. The pool was so warm and relaxing. The views throughout the house were spectacular. Very close drive to Manuel Antonio and downtown Quepos. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely, quiet, comfortable and clean home in Quepos. I highly recommend for families or a couples get-away - especially if you enjoy nature in a beautiful location! With the exception of a wonderful, nearby snorkeling adventure starting at a Quepos dock, we didn’t hang out much in town but it was an easy 10 minute bus ride to Manuel Antonio NP.

Highlights for our group were the outside deck off the kitchen, with great views of the mountains and far-off view of the ocean; the pool - including the outdoor shower; nice inside dining area and comfortable living room - both with fantastic views. The house was worth the hike up the hill to get to and we would rent again, if given the opportunity.

The hosts were extremely communicative and helpful during our stay when we had to reach out. This was a fantastic house all around - and we wish we could’ve stayed longer than our 5 booked days!

Our family multigenerational family of 6 loved staying at Casa Moreno. The views are spectacular and the macaws provided daily entertainment. The pool is fabulous and Mefi was incredibly helpful in recommending restaurants and providing transportation.

We absolutely loved staying in this Airbnb! The views of the birds, ocean, hills are amazing. The pool area is well thought out and very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. Very safe area and great location for exploring both quepos and Manuel Antonio.

Housekeepers kept the house spotless but were never in our way. of course we left every morning by 9:00 and did not return untill about 6:00 I would stay their again.

Miquel, the concierge, was very helpful. He booked our excursions, got us rides and gave recommendations. The natural surroundings were amazing. I felt like royalty staying in the palatial house.

We loved this house. Spectacular views and it is spacious. 5 adults stayed for 6 nights and it never felt cramped. We loved the location for bird watching - scarlet macaws and toucans and more. We also had a troop of squirrel monkeys pass over the house. The bus between Quepos and Manuel Antonio is convenient BUT you have to walk up and down a very steep hill which isn’t for everyone. Mefi will order a taxi, though, so it is easy to get around.

The house is kept very clean. A housekeeper comes 3 days a week. She comes early (8 one day and about 7:45 another) so be prepared for that. She was very unobtrusive and started in places that we weren’t using and cleaned the rest after we left for the day.

Hands down the best airbnb I have ever stayed at. They were so kind and super attentive. They reached out before we even arrived with a ton of information and local recommendations. Anytime we needed a taxi we would reach out and one would arrive within 15 minutes. I would not recommend renting a car and driving as they do drive very aggressively and honestly it was so easy to utilize the taxi services. The location is STUNNING and the home looks even better in person than the pictures. Pictures do not do it justice at all. Bring a few floaties for the pool as it is 6ft all around the pool so no where you can really stand! You will 100% see a ton of wildlife day and night as well. I would without a doubt stay there again.

You can’t go wrong staying at Casa Moreno. There was more than enough space for our family of five. Our kids certainly made good use of the pool. The location sits above Quepos with stunning town and ocean views. There’s even a nearby macaw nest at the top of a tree that is eye-level and close to the back porch/outside sitting area. The drive to Quepos is five minutes and to all things Manuel Antonio, ten. Our host, Mefi, quickly responded to our questions and was very helpful with arranging our daily excursions and transportation. We hope to return one day soon.

Great house! Very comfortable! Nice views and very clean! The road to the house is steep and curved. We had to walk down the road to the bottom to meet our tour driver. Nicely stocked with towels and amenities. We watched the mackaws every morning! Wonderful! Thank you!

Come for the view! We loved this spot tucked away a bit from the more trafficked parts of Manuel Antonio. The vista over Quepos and the coast was incredible. We aren't birders but still enjoyed watching an impressive array of birds in the treetops just outside the windows and patio, including a family of scarlet macaws. The kids really enjoyed the pool and we got to observe a couple of black spiny-tailed iguanas that live there, too (not in the pool but nearby). With easy access to Quepos and Manuel Antonio, this was a great place to spend a few days. As others and the host noted, the road up is steep and it is tricky to find at night, but with AWD or 4WD and the detailed instructions it is quite manageable so don't let that scare you off (including a video that helped us navigate when heavy rains and traffic delayed our arrival past sunset).

Philip’s home is beautiful. We were immediately greeted outside by scarlet macaws. We loved watching them from the deck and seeing the ocean views. The home is clean, well-stocked with towels, soaps and shampoos, and all things needed for the kitchen.

Beautiful. Everything is perfect. Close to villages and the beach , an amazing view. I would highly recommend it.

Amazing stay, only negative is that we wished we stayed longer. 😍 Beautiful beaches in the area, good restaurants, and lovely coffee sipping views in the morning. Would recommend this villa to anyone!

Pictures did not even do this house justice. Views were amazing, ocean on one side and mountains on the other with Quepos right in the middle. Mefi was extremely helpful with setting up transportation to and from Manuel Antonio and great food recommendations. Chef Jeinor provided us with the most amazing meal on our first night there. We had a family of 6 and there was more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable and to have their own space. We cannot wait to come back,

Pura Vida

This is our second time staying at Casa Moreno and we would definitely stay again! The views are breathtaking and the house is comfortable and feels like a home away from home.

We can't say enough good things about Casa Moreno! The photos are EXACTLY what you get; everything was incredibly clean, tidy and comfortable. The VIEWS!!!! The layout was perfect for our group of 6; master with king & bunkbeds upstairs for our two daughters upstairs, then the two bedrooms downstairs for grandparents gave us each privacy. The pool was SUPER clean, the perfect temp, and felt incredibly private. The macaw couples' nest just off the deck was absolutely amazing. We really valued that we were able to experience birds, iguanas, geckos and other "wildlife" on the property but didn't have to worry about pesky monkeys that try to break in and steal food and other items. The location, right between Quepos & Manuel Antonio was perfect. And Mefi was just outstanding! He booked activities & transportation, and gave recommendations on great places to eat. He added tremendous value and made our stay so easy!! An incredibly memorable vacation. Thank you Philip! We HIGLY recommend!

Casa Moreno was the perfect spot to decompress! The photos do not do the views justice. The sunsets, water views, mountain views and wildlife all exceeded our expectations. The array of birds we saw during our stay had us entertained for hours every morning and evening.

Our family of 5 had a great time in Quepos over Christmas. Our Concierge, Mefi, was simply amazing & made our vacation perfectly wonderful down to the last detail! We are so appreciative of his help & recommendations while visiting Manuel Antonio. House was clean & views were wonderful. We had monkey’s on our porch, birds in our trees & smiles on our faces the whole time.

Philip’s place was stunning! The directions and video sent in advance were very helpful and allowed us to find the property and unit without any trouble. The pool was pleasant and clean, patio was great, views are incredible and everything was perfect! Our group loved staying here and would absolutely do so again. Lovely place, with a great view, and great amenities. We were 8 and felt very comfortable and all slept very well. The kitchen had useful appliances (blender, barbecue…) and the living room also had a speaker. We especially liked seeing parrots and other sorts of birds right in front of the house, with the forest and the mountains in the background. Philip and the concierge Mefi were very friendly, and the park San Manuel and the restaurants are a short drive away. Lovely place!!!

Be prepared for the steep road to get to the house but once there you have a beautiful views. We had about 8 Macaw Parrots flying everyday at the back of the house.

Our week stay at Casa Morena was fantastic. The house suited our family of six perfectly. We had plenty of space to spread out and the pool was an oasis by itself. The concierge Mefi, was fantastic and extremely helpful. He provided all the information on tours, beaches, transportation etc. One of the A/C units went down and a maintenance staff came and fixed it really fast. Loved staying here and would highly recommend it! Casa Moreno helped make our family vacation the trip of a lifetime. Pura Vida!

Sometimes photos exaggerate a place’s beauty but Casa Moreno was stunning from the minute we walked into the front door. The spacious views of the mountains and Quepos, especially with the night lights, was inspiring. We could just sit out on the deck and see the ocean, the mountains, the little town, and birds with our grandsons and son keeping a constant eye for new birds which they found. The view was about 180 degrees with glass windows everywhere. We found this residence equipped with everything one would need. The kitchen with its view of the ocean inspired cooking. Our grandsons loved the swimming pool which was a little deep for them but they were careful under the parents and grandparents careful eye. An added bonus was air conditioning for when it was hot and humid. It was also close to Manuel Antonio National Park which we enjoyed with a professional guide. We also took a night tour nearby into the rain forest to find animals. Our trip to the Rainmaker was a favorite.

Wow, what a special place to stay. We were able to observe macaws and other beautiful birds daily from the balcony. The drive to get to the house can be a little challenging so be sure to watch the video for Mefi so you’re prepared. The views and the house are well worth the drive up the hill. The house is spacious and the AC in every room was very nice after a long hot day exploring outside. The pool was nice too!

Casa Moreno view is breath taking!

It is a 3 hour drive from SJO to the house but it is worth it ! The staff is incredibly helpful and very accommodating. Mefi’ was extremely helpful prior to our stay as well as during our stay with arranging excursions, transportation and make sure we had all the necessary accommodation available during our stay. I would definitely stay at Casa Moreno again ! Thanks Mefi’ and the entire staff you made our family trip unforgettable!

We had an amazing time at Casa Moreno! The views are too beautiful to capture in photos, and we especially enjoyed the view from the pool. Beds were comfortable and the place was very spacious, with a good amount of privacy. Would definitely return!

We had an amazing time at casa Moreno ! The house was sooo nice and clean ! We had everything we needed and more ! Even an iron :) the surroundings were beautiful, nature everywhere ! The pool is very deep no shallow areas, bring floatiest for the little ones :) the pool is clean and private ! Mefi sent us a video with instructions on how to find the house and they were very helpful. Manuel Antonio’s national park is super close (driving) make sure to buy tickets in advance. Casa Moreno was amazing. The view was so beautiful, Mefi the concierge communicated well with us, had maintenance come right away when needed, gave us clear instructions and helped us book a really fun catamaran tour. The place was well equipped, clean, spacious and we felt safe and secure. We saw a lot of wildlife around the villa and we really enjoyed the pool. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful view and house! The house was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The pool isn’t huge but it was very warm and our kids loved it. We had a great vacation in Manuel Antonio!

This house is beautiful and has the most perfect panoramic views! We had plenty of space and enjoyed the private pool.

Unique home with great views. Host provided excellent info prior to arrival and booked a great tour (Canopy Safari zip line). The chefs, Yosue and Erving, also booked by our host, were amazing and created a beautiful meal for us upon arrival. Some suggestions to update home have been shared with host.

The location can't be beat -- up in the hills with views of Macaws and other tropical birds everyday. One morning, we even had a family of monkeys visit the deck railings (and then continue on their way down the hill). The pool is private and also has beautiful Mtn views. Overall, a really pleasant stay. Thank you!

Casa Moreno was absolutely wonderful! Our group of 7 doesn’t have one complaint! The views and sunsets were amazing! There were beautiful macaws that hung out in the tree right off the deck. We even saw a few monkeys. The concierge Mefi made sure we had everything we could possibly need taken care of. 10/10!!

Amazing panoramic views. There was a group of macaws that were in the tree across from our balcony everyday. Beautiful sunset views. The place was spotless and had everything in the kitchen needed for cooking. Drive up to the place was steep, but was able to make it in our van without 4 wheel drive. Overall, fantastic place. What a beautiful place! A breathtaking view with the added bonus of a daily visit from macaws and small toucans. The place is even better than the pictures. A must! Rent it without hesitation!! If I could have given six stars, I would have! Communication with Mefi is number 1. He is super attentive, proactive, and always available. We loved staying at Casa Moreno! It was the perfect location! It was safe and quiet, close to everything and very clean. Our concierge Mefi was excellent and so easy to communicate with. Exceeds expectations! Eight of us very comfortably stayed here and enjoyed all the views. We equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Individual temperature control in most (all?) rooms. A lovely, well maintained place!

Incredible home with amazing views of Quepos and it’s surrounding beauty. Short ride to town and to the beach, and Mefi is quick to respond to anything that you may need while you’re there. It was everything we had hoped for and more!

Philip's place is amazing! It was the last leg of our trip to Costa Rica! It was great to be able to have a nice big american kitchen, microwave, washer and dryer and a private pool all to ourselves. Everyone got their own bed which was a big plus. Oh did I mention that the view is amazing! 360 degree views to the ocean and down to Quepos to see what place you needed to get to. We could see Scarlet Macaws migrating from tree to tree from our perch. 10 minutes or less to Manuel Antonio or Biesanz Beach which was our favorite. Mefi can hook you up with whatever you need and Philip was very accommodating to our airline problems. The place is sweet and you should check it out!

This house was immaculate! The view was super pretty! Also the service from concierge and the cleaning maid was fabulous!

Our stay at Casa Moreno was absolutely without question one of my favorite places ever! The house is in a great location, impeccably clean, the views are breathtaking, and the hospitality is first class!

The house is as seen in the photos. Its kitchen is well equipped, and there are pool towels and bathrooms with everything you need. It's close to the center without the noise and very close to the beaches. Mefi, the manager, is second to none!

Better than the pics and right at the edge of town. Such an awesome place we didn’t want to leave.

THE VIEW!!! WOW!!! The place is clean. The pool is awesome. The neighborhood is very safe. There is parking right out front. They offer maid and concierge service. The concierge can line up a cook to come in, transportation to the location and multiple tour guides. We rented a car and drove. We spent our days fishing at the marina which was a short drive down the hill. Every Sunset is absolutely picture perfect!!! The deck overlooks the bay. The picture windows overlook the town below. At night you are above the city lights. We couldn't have asked for more! We can't wait to visit Costa Rica again. The Pura Vida life is amazing. We didn't see any monkey's but we did see colorful Macaws in the trees. We did not see monkey's at the house but we took the Chino Monkey mangrove tour which is in our opinion a MUST! We went our last day which was good otherwise I may have been there every single day!

This place was beyond our expectations, super clean and very comfortable for my family (10 adults and 1 children). The view is amazing. Ee saw a lot of birds and monkeys!
